If you would ask me what is the thing I love about New York - my answer would be diversity, while my eyes would be sparkled in a happy bright light. Despite of that, there is one thing that will be a big problem for me in this whole moving to New York thing - The New York winter, oh my lord. that is going to be tough. I mean, the Israeli winter is absolutely nothing like the winter I am about to experience and it scares the hell out of me.
In the past few days I've been thinking what shoes would be perfect for me, regarding the upcoming winter- needless to say that it will involve rain, snow, extreme cold and more exquisite weather phenomenons. Obviously the first option I though about was getting tall Hunter boots, But in a matter of fact I truly hate tall boots, and walking around with rubber all day long would suck. So this bubble was bursting away. I was thinking what can I possibly do, I want it to be waterproof, warm, and not too expensive - so if they tear apart I wont be bummed out about it. I mean I could always go and buy a pair of leather booties somewhere but I just kinda got tired from it. boring.
Eventually I decided to go for the unexpected 'Maya choice', many people I consulted with about it said this is too funny since those boots express nothing about me or my style, but I was determined to take the challenge. I decided I can make it look good with certain things. Of course they are only for daily winter use but still, I feel like they could rock my oh, so cold winter.
Here I present to you, the 'non-maya' boots, the BLUNDSTONE.
Yes, I know they are not very feminine nor stylish in any way, but I'm willing to take the risk and the chance to make them look good.
Good luck to us all.
