When
we are young, we always want to be something when we grow up - A fireman, a
pilot or even an astronaut. How often do we stick to our 6 year old plan? well
not very often I would say. Throughout
our lives
,
we experience things that shape our personality and interests
however,
we
always keep in mind the need to earn money for what we like or
love to do.
Not
everybody have
the privilege of
working in
what they really
relish and this is pretty bad since we all should wake up in the morning and say "Hey, this
morning is great and I'm excited about it". Of course if we work with passion
and
excitement ,
it's
so much more thrilling than working in something we are not passionate
about.
So
here's the thing, it's an understatement to say that when you do something you
love and you are passionate about it, it will come out good. In that matter, I like how my
friends have big dreams and devotion about life and further career. When you
think about it, it is pretty amazing since not everybody in our age (22) know
what they want to do in the rest of their lives. Especially,
after
serving
few years of your life in the
army, followed mostly by a big trip around the world. We
tend to get lost and not always know what's the next step in life. I think I'm
blessed for the fact that I know exactly what I crave to do since I'm much
younger and my whole life is about moving forward to it, fashion, of
course.
Last
summer I spent in New York with my friend Moran, she is my age and she is an
amazing photographer. She
knows exactly what she wants and she's working damn hard to get there. She
thinks of studying in New York, just like me, and I believe she will make it in
no time.
When
you do what
makes
you happy and challenge you at the same time, you put all your efforts
and
mind into it
(my mom
calls it the "Everest Syndrome")- so
the final product of the whole process is brilliant. I
appreciate people who work hard,
and
do what they love and not what is mainstream. People who pursuing their ideas
and
dreams
willing
to get there by strong
belief,
fantasy,
vision,
passion, love,
and devotion.
Last
week Moran had an exercise which was to photoshoot portraits in high key. She
asked for my help and obviously I agreed. It was a beautiful experience
for us
both
and
the results are incredible. I truly believe that she will end up in an amazing
place in
terms of her work and career.
Nowadays
she's working on her portfolio - and we can wish her all the best and
luck
reaching
her Everest pick!
