Sparkling Silver Dust : Israeli Pride

Ladies and Gents, I'm proud to inform that last month Shenkar Institute of Design situated in Ramat Gan, Israel got ranked up on the www.fashionista.com list (one of the most well known fashion web-blogs) -"best schools for fashion in the world".

From being ranked #15 it gained two spots to #13.

Now, you may think it is not much but than again you should consider the fact that Israel is the size of New Jersey and we don't have many high education institutes for design around here, therefore, this is truly an exceptional achievement we are so proud of.

So "Shenkar" is one of the 3 best design schools in Israel - we have also "Betzalel" in Jerusalem, and "Wizo" in Haifa, but shenker is the best for fashion in Israel with no doubt!

Every year the "Summer opening event" within the fashion industry is the final fashion show of the talented Fashion Design students with the cooperation of "CASTRO" one of the largest Israeli brands.

True, we are a tiny country (think, in reality we live on an island!), and don't have direct access to the top designers around the world (although Shenkar has worldwide interns programs).

So being a graduate of Shenker is pretty awesome, especially with this new global prestige. And I'm certain it will only get better! and it really makes me so pleased and proud.
